There’s no two ways about it; all(I mean most of us) women are obsessed with make up. The beauty of the Internet is that we have access to millions of videos on Youtube, the place where I got sucked into endless supply of beauty tutorial videos. I find myself watching videos from the same few bloggers again and again. Beauty bloggers are not only gurus in their own right, but are constantly serving up great beauty advice, step by step instructions, and their different points of view of the product.
With that being said, here’s a list of my top 5 favourite beauty bloggers. Not only they will help you master everything from drawing a simple cat eye to baking and strobing but will also make you feel confident with all the cosmetics you’re about to put on your face :
1. Carli Bybel
The Youtube sensation who often calls herself ‘The Beauty Bybel’ has gained a massive following in just a handful of years. Her first channel CarliBel55, was created in 2011; and today, it has close to 5 million subscribers. She has since created another beauty-focused channel, Inner Beauty Bybel, and a successful online fashion blog, The Fashion Bybel. Her videos include topics on beauty, fashion and fitness, along with makeup tutorials. Known for her ‘Megan Fox Makeup Tutorial’ video, Carli has established herself as a big name in the industry.
2. Jaclyn Hill
Jaclyn Hill’s name is probably recognizable to you because of her insanely popular collaboration with Becca Cosmetics on the limited edition highlighter ‘Champagne Pop’. She is a professional makeup artist(known for her killer highlighting skills) who has gained fame through YouTube videos and tutorials since 2011. Her YouTube channel mainly focuses on topics like hair tutorials, makeup tutorials, brow and contour routines, and product reviews.
3. Nikkie Tutorials
Nikkie of Nikkie Tutorials is a Dutch beauty vlogger who just happened to land the first makeup collaboration with Too Faced. With just under six million subscribers, the collaboration was well-deserved – Nikkie is known for her innovative videos and love of glitter (that glow!) and her videos often get picked up around the web (or are inspirations for other YouTubers).
4. Huda Kattan
This Middle Eastern beauty is listed as the baddest beauty blogger in the game. Huda started blogging in 2010 and has been hugely popular in the Middle East. The Dubai-based beauty blogger reached mainstream fame within the last year because of her insanely viral beauty hacks, striking resemblance to the Kardashians, and sense of humor. Huda takes beauty seriously and she has a way of making makeup fun and interesting to people who don’t really care about makeup at all. She has her own beauty brand, Huda Beauty, under which she runs a line of false lashes, false nails, henna tattoos, plus a lip contouring kit in the pipeline, all of which are best-selling products at worldwide branches of French cosmetics giant, Sephora.
I’ve never seen RayeRaye put on a lipstick shade that she didn’t look killer in. The 25-year-old Los Angeles–based vlogger is on a mission to bust you out of your beauty rut. With DIY videos that range from classic (wine lips, topknots) to wild (hot-pink cat eyes, septum rings, and false lashes), her channel has even beauty editors browsing for night-out inspo. She’s also quick to share a newly discovered beauty hack, like adding food coloring to a too-pink foundation.
Prepare to have your make up game stepped way up
